Good work Brad. Be interested to see how much room is in there after the turbo is fitted.

Looking really great there.

I was so going to do one of these to my mini a few years back, just couldn't locate one easily. Looks like such a good fit compared to the hacking involved with the starlet motor.

By the way, I think you are a brave man for going back to do another one. How many years since you finished the first one?

Looking good Brad. Nice work again.

Is the CoG any further forward, even though it is lighter?

cheers
michael

The standard manifold and stock turbo would fit in easy at the front, but the mani and turbo that came with the motor stuck out way to far. So i sold the wrx turbo and manifold and got an awsome manifold made up by ben (genious)!!

The turbo is now a t28 r33 gtr and it is sitting in front of the gearbox. This provides a lot of room between the manifold and the grill for a front mount radiator. Not sure if there will be room for a fan, so that radiator maybe for the water 2 air cooler.

I think the starlet mini was finished around 05/06. I probably wouldnt have started this one if the motor and shell didnt come up like they did.....plus i dont think this will be my last one! :D

mick im pretty sure it is further forward than the a series, it will be interesting to see how it handles with the cb70 but i think the extra hp will compensate 8)

Hey Brad, very nice work as usual, and a very nice unit that Cb70. As for dates I got my halfcut in mid 2004 and you had the engine in and were doing the wiring at that stage.

Cheers

Matt

90 kg lighter in the front can't be a bad thing, it will definitely help with the weight distribution but traction might suffer either way it will be very interesting to see how it handles in heavy cornering and breaking.
