phew!! I got a price today from mr enforcer of $10,200 to build an efte in a round nose with everyhing done, brakes, fule zorst etc and was freaking a bit. Any of these options re engine transplants are gonna cost$$$.

Does anyone have any suggestions on doing an efte and savings $$ in the process.

Not to be rude or to piss any one off. But if dollars is a big issue it is better off not to start it... Either way it is going to cost you

And cost you...... and cost you .......and cost you.

If you do not have any skills it will cost you ......and cost you .......and cost you......and cost you .......and cost you......and cost you .......and cost you......and cost you .......and cost you......and cost you .......and cost you......and cost you .......and cost you

Really if you want to do a conversion you should rough-up a budget and see just what the end result will be. If you do not like the end result DO NOT start because the end result will be double your budget.

Sorry if i have upset a few people but it does add up very quickly.

Dan

Unfortunately Gordo's right. Even if you DIY it is still gonna costs several thousand especially if you include the cost of the halfcut. I think all up with all the bits and pieces I costed $7K DIY. Technically once you get going the costs start spiralling. Mine was a very minimalist version, some have gone a lot further still, I get anything between 170 and 185 hp(depending on boost) day in day out.

Also Brad it looks like we may have a full grid for Wakefield, I'm in...

Cheers

M

It's BFYB compared to an A-series, but still BIG dollars, especially if you do it right with good brake and suspension mods.

Some people are really talented and can do everything on their own, other's need help.

Extra's add up quick..trust me. I know.

I suppose it all depends on what you start with as well. If you have good brakes that'll save you $1.5k, if all your suspension/rubbers/bearings/shockers are in good condition thats another $1.5k saved. So thats a possible variation of 3 Grand at least. Its so hard to put a price on a conversion when each car is different and each owner wants something different. I'll be happy if i keep it all under $15k, but thats starting with absolutely nothing.

There are so many variables you can do it for 5k if your handy with welding and you can do it all yourself and you sell alot of stuff and exchange and take your time. It can also cost 50k if you go nuts and want something this century.

Smartest thing to do is list what you've got. What you want. How long you have and go from there.

Dan I can take that cost burden off you if you want to sell me your mini? :)

Thanks guys. If the DIY costs $7k then the $10k complete from Mr Enforcer is not bad value. Maybe a supercharged or turbo A series might be easier.
