what are the advantages / disadvantages of a solid rear axle in a mini, whats rwd?

Hey everyone,

I have spent the last few nights on google, looking for sites that have good write ups and pics, of rwd set ups for a mini. not having much luck, has anyone book marked any they could post up?

keen to see how they have set up the rear axle, suspention etc.

so yeah, and info will be good, thanks.

A solid axle will be lighter than an IRS setup, but will not tolerate bumps.

OK on a race car, forget it for road use. From memory, a Datsun 1000 diff is exactly the same track as a mini.
