Good to see progress Amos!

Here's a shot of the rocket heading off for wiring - hopefully one of the last times I have to load it on a truck or trailer!

And don't mind the exhaust - for some reason the exhaust guy thought a twin tip looked cool - one of the first trips will be to get that sorted out & centred!

For anyone listening out there, do you know what frequency pin 21 of the ECU runs at for RPM? I appear to be getting 120Hz at about 720 rpm which results in 10 pulses per rev. I have new Smiths gauges and I'm trying to run an electronic tacho off the std 4EFTE ECU. Pin 21 appeared to be the most appropriate but it appears the Tacho I've bought can only handle 2, 3 or 4 pulses per rev - which is what you'd get if running a signal from the coil on 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines.

Maybe one of the other ECU pins could be used? Can't remember the numbers off the top of my head but there are IGN and IGF pins from memory.

Turns out pin 21 is not appropriate. According to my auto electrician.

The IG- pin on the side of the diagnostics module is the go. This must come from the coil.

FYI, the IG- pin at the diagnostics connector comes from one of the pins on the Ignitor module socket (black wire) so you can run the cabling to whichever is more convenient.

I had the feeling you would be the one to reply on this one Alan! ;)

Awesome. Thanks!

I'll update with a bunch of photos shortly, but I'm only months away from registration now :D

If you don't mind me askin what has it roughly set you back to get an auto electrician to wire it up?

Auto elec did the engine loom. From all engine bay connectors (excl. lights, wipers, washer) to the firewall. He also put in the ECU and connectors with cables to ignition barrel and required fuses and relays. He cost me 2k and gave me a car that started.

Now I'm doing all dash (instruments, lights), lights (frt & rr), trafficker, door lock solenoids, radio etc.

Thanks, the wiring on mine is all but finished. Just need to get my butt back into gear. Just down to sorting the final bits of it out. Must have been a great step to get it back actually being able to start it!

Yep! I'm still smiling :)

And love walking out to the shed and just starting it up - such a different start up to the old A-series. No cranking. Just turn and start!

Well done Amos. Looks tough. Beautiful finish. It's been a long road but the end result is fantastic.

Thanks guys! Been way too long... But nearly there now :)

The paint colour is BRG. But there are 10's if not 100's of BRG. I can't remember off the top of my head the paint make and code.
