G'day floss
black would look tough but we decided on a fairly light color
so if we have to fix anything its easy to see(i'm getting old :D )
Car wont be registed just a high fun low budget toy

Might have to cut it simo but i'll have a crack at straightening it

Meeni the old 4efte in the front will be enough for me (for now)

Clovus
no brand on the seats ,came with the car when we bought it
made the cabin a bit longer for more room it's pretty good, i'm 6ft and
Daves about the same so no probs

Is it just me or dose the rear window section look out of square? (closer at the bottom than the top)

I know this is going to be a race car, but is a chopped down van made into ute registrable?

With a mod plate, it's possible

There are plenty of them kicking around

As adam says you can do it, if you get it engineered. You could probably count the number of genuine utes in Australia on one hand, yet there are plenty of cut downs

Due to a death in the family and other family commitments, i hav'nt touched any of my cars .
In fact until this week the ute's the only one i've touched, basically
because we do it on our half day and we're there

Anyway got a bit done again

we've made the seat brackets and trimmed the rear floor back a bit for extra room

Dave the grinding king hard at it

Image

Yours truly cutting a hole for the fuel lines and battery cable

Image

Also started to put some wiring in

We were missing some bits off the turbo (oil line etc) which we have
scored from James (77clubby) so cheers for that mate

I'm pretty happy with the progress since we only work on it for 2 1/2 hours a week

Cheers Hallsey

Love it when people do the ute conversion properly & adjust the rear not to slope in.

Looks good.. will be impressive!
