Hey Woodwormm,

I have checked out the Hyundai TDI's and that is the second option, most are automatic however, manual is what I am after ;)

Cheers, Sam

Hey Guys,

Not looking good, I called my engineer up and nothing can be done to the firewall except beating it in with a hammer. Going to have a good think about it and see if it will fit without modifying it, but it's not looking good. May be on the lookout for other TDI's to see if there are any smaller ones.

Cheers, Sam

The only TDI guaranteed to fit without firewall mods is the 3cyl Charade lump. It's only got the same power as an 1100 and the same torque as a 1275 though. So you'd only do it for economy, or just becasue you want to. :)

The Mini One Diesel engine is used in the Toyota Yaris overseas, so it might be compact enough to squeeze in.

Hey bincho,

Had a good measure up with Lockie the other night and funny enough, looks like we can do it without firewall mods. Watch this space

Cheers, Sam
