They all look safe...

Small update, got some r1 carbies so started on a manifold for them.. They're actually a pretty cool setup to use for a mini because they can run uphill like that so the manifold length is actually reasonable

Also got a camber kit with all the goodies from the uk

From what jve seen so far theyre great! Much cheaper then webers too! They're like a modern looking s.u, theyll look a lot better cleaned up with velocity stacks on there :)6

Elegant and simple. EFI is nice but I'm thinking of all the wiring you don't have to worry about, and high pressure fuel pumps, return lines, sensors, ecu etc.

How do you go about tuning those things? Jets?

Yeah it's simpler for me and having spent a lot of money having the car wired up recently id be crazy to chop it all up, tuning wise I think most car guys drill the jets out, there's a formula to what size.. Adjust mixture screws And then sync them And then I think they're pretty right but parts are quite easy to get anyway.. They only need 2-3 psi to run too so my current fuel setup for te a series would be ample..

Damn sean.

This was my plan, now it will just look like i'm stealing your idea

Great minds I guess.

Aren't R1 Carbs going to be a bit big? I see a lot of 660 carbs go onto 1.3L motors

I thought that at first but people run twin 45mm webers on them so I don't think it will be a drama, if it did I guess you could downsize it to a 38 or 36 mm carb of a Kawasaki or something?

Feel free to steal "my" idea ( been done thousands of times lol )

Not to rain on your parade(s), but if fitting a late model non- Mini engine to a Mini, engineered and all- don't you legally need to run ALL its stock emission gear (= fuel injection, cat, etc) to pass registration? :?

Isn't that why you change it after engineering?
