Flywheel machined, clutch and gearbox on and motor back in! All in an hour which was good.. Now comes the time consuming part that is wiring the ecu...

Thanks that's the plan! Question for anyone who knows.. Is there anywhere that you can take stainless hard lines to and have them fitted with a 37 degree double (inverted) flare for an fittings? I've already got the collars and tube nuts for them but my flare tool only does 45degree flares and I'm not paying 150 dollars for 37 degree flare dies when I only need 4 of them!

My guess is a brake shop would do them but would prob cost you the $150

That's what worries me.. Other options are, bubble flare the hard line and hose clamp it, or, run braided line from end to end.. What's everyone else doing?

You can buy flare adapters from race shops, but they'll be made of gold titanium and cost $30 a fitting.
:D

If I wasn't flying I'd be happy to spend the money but I'm poor now haha.. I liked the hard line fittings I have but they aren't for efi apparently which sucks so I bought these but they need a 37 degree flare so I stuffed up lol

Little bits a pieces done here and there but nothing worth posting about. Flying is making me very poor haha. Had a few helmets to do lately so should be able to get the parts to get it running in the next couple of weeks..

Im trying i promise lol

If you haven't ordered your shafts yet I'd look into working out what you need - I have AGM making a couple of sets for me at the moment - and I hear there's a bit of a backlog of work. Last thing you want is a 2 or 3 month holdup because you didn't have the shafts on the shelf ready to go.

Thought I'd update this. Steady as she goes of late. I got the motor running but discovered the water pump was leaking, however the bigger issue seems to be that the engine is pushing water back out of the filler cap so i assumed it had done a head gasket but when I pulled the head off it didn't look like it had.. Shouldn't have as its brand new so now I'm not sure. There is also a scratch in the bore that wasn't there before... Disappointing. All these little things are pissing me off because I just want the car done and can't afford to be rebuilding engines...

No pics really it doesn't look much different.

Have you still got the MPI mini radiator?

Where's the filler cap / expansion tank?

Yeah still got that, no expansion tank just an inline filler neck that sits above the radiator
