Is it just me, or does that custom subframe look not terribly strong....
I am no expert, but i thought you needed a stronger subframe for a flip front too.

Looks like it uses the engine to gain its strength.. Little bit of flex in a race car could help it too

It looks like an extended front. I like it.

The engine was designed as a stressed member when it was installed in the bike. No reason why you couldn't reproduce that in a mini provided you don't exceed the same loading applied when it was in a bike.

Stressed member is all well and good

But the subframe looks like it's made out of 12mm round stock.

That's a bit different to 30x3 Structural CHS that everyone else uses!

The one thing I want to see, is the one thing I can't. How does he transfer drive from the output shaft of the box to the wheels? AAArrrggghhh.

He will have a diff "cradle" mounted under the engine,,, he has his engine mounted far higher in the car than mine so his chain will run down-hill to his diff,,, mine runs backwards cause my engine if lower & more forward than his

it`s not to hard really,,, i made my own but you can buy them

here`s my diff & cradle, LSD with sprocket & covered/sealed with an orange juice tin & a couple of o-rings,,, it has a drain/filler plug too

hee hee,,, yeah its a little rubber/plastic plug from something i found ...& fits good so the zip-tie holds it in & works a treat,,, no leaks & i can slide the ziptie to the side, pull the plug roll the buggy forward a bit aligning the oil drain tray up & drain the old crap out ...re-fill with new crap... & re-plug with the bung-thingy & slip the same old ziptie back over it job done easy-peasy
