yep,,, i have 2x 1275cc Micras
one is going to be a willowbank autocross car for my niece (Charnce) for a little while
she might try to take my buggy off me after that :-)

the other one we are stirpping it out now
taking the engine/box & fitting it into my sports sedan for a little while
this will give us a subframe to make a jig tso we can make other subframes

I`m looking at just running the std micra motor in the sports sedan for now but with extractors & Yamaha R1 bike carbs
i will be looking for things like LSD & Hotty Cams & close ratio gearbox along the way
altho i`ve heard all these bits are a bit hard to find, whatever, i`ll just go with what we have for the moment

But,,, with 2x micra engines at my disposal may turbo the 2nd one & have a little bit more fun :-)

Question 1: Does that Moke have a drip catcher under it :?:

Question 2: Does the Micra box have reasonably equal length drive shafts (to counter torque steer in a light body) :?:

Onya Matt :!: :D

Hee hee,,, the moke has a Bimmer Twinky & doesn`t leak any oil

& the shafts,,,well... one is long & one is short :-) as per usual :-)

we`re not quite half way there but it`s going along quite well,,,still a pile of things to sort out but bit by bit :-)

not much room in there for anything else to fit in there except the turbo & intercooler of course :-)
i can`t see the air-con happening but maybe in a clubby at a later date
cheers
Matt

Lower/rear mount & bracket
Image

adding some small gussets here n there & a general tidy up before we sand & paint the frame
Image

we have sorted the alternator brackets, just playing around with belts & tensioners now

still have the clutch slave & lever to sort,,, plus a few fiddly things like thermostat housings & such,,, but we`re not far off now

soon we`ll get onto making up the axles & we should be right to whack the whole lot into a car & make it go bruum bruum :-)

You'd want it to be - the rear mounts are quite highly loaded.

Yes... There is Quite a few more strengthening pieces to go in yet. But very happy with the way it's all been happening. Very strong. Very compact. Very light. Very sexy :)
