I wouldnt think you would have any chance of getting that registered. Even if the shell is still registered it would last about as long as the first time you went past a copper I reckon.

There was one in WA that was a personal import over from the UK that was WA registered... I cant remember if it was a Z cars but it was one that we cant usually register here

That Mini here in Perth is a 4AGE engine - Z Cars don't provide a kit / subframe for that engine. I was talking to the Transport department about my conversion a few years ago now, and the subject of this 4AGE mini came up - the guy said that it was a one-off approval because it was a personal import and would not be approved for road use if done locally.
