Me too, bicycle brake cable. They come in a wide range of lengths and very easily adapted. |

Go to your local bike shop and ask them for Teflon coated cables , i think i paid $8 for one i bought a while back . |

A motorbike clutch cable might have something that will fit both ends of your problem. |
