More power isnt always the key,,, Big power numbers are easy, its getting it to the ground that is the hard part. In a front wheels drive mini i think the 1.3L turbo has prob a little too much power for the car design, Ha that coming from me who is goin to be running a 4efte with a GT2860RLS. I think most of all it is going to do is wheel spin

I was talking to a Garrett rep a while back and he suggested the 2860 variant for a 1.5 - 1.6L engine. Should be interesting on a 1.3...

thats why i was wanting to no what bigbad was running..

maybe stick to the t25/t28 range?

got a TD04L sitting here and was going to put on but wanta do it so i wont have to change the setup later for more power

I would not discount the TD04L flange as there are plenty of IHI turbos to suit in the vf series that are very good turbo's.

from what i remember Dean's is a hybrid GT25/28 as Gordo said - powerband is from about 4500 to 9000rpm

Not a bad guess then, that's where I thought the turbo would kick in :)

IHI, they're WRX turbos right? I'm sure there's plenty of variations if they are! Enough to make too much power for a mini...

yeah there is a lot of VF series turbos that can be bolted on to replace the TD04L just trying to work out what flange i was to put on the manifold etc.
