I would like to do something that will keep the body essentially stock but its not clear whether the Nissan mill offers this. Any experience on this?

I would say it's entirely possible to not touch the body at all, only bits on Spot were a bulge for the harmonic balancer (many just cut the larger pulley off) a hole in the firewall to do the cable clutch (do a hydro clutch), and the front grill needing approx 1cm cut off, (get creative with your extractors say oval pipe and a 4 into 1 manifold.)
It's doable for some of these the very slight body mods were worth it.
