Hi All, I have read a number of posts but have been unable to find anyone who has done an engine conversion with a purchased subframe. I am considering options between rebuilding the A-series or a conversion but I do not have the skills/time to build a subframe for the conversion. From a budget perspective I know the conversion will be substantially more but the idea of a more modern engine with reliable HP is tempting. Is there anyone in Australia who will build a subframe or offers a drive in-drive out service? Have anyone used an overseas company like allspeed? I am based in Newcastle NSW. I'd guess because you need to get an engineer to approve the modification and frame your using and most / all engineers will need to see the frame in the flesh. As most frames are made overseas your stuck with the prospect of ordering an expensive frame and hoping the engineer is going to like it. Not sure how many people have taken the risk... At the time I started there were no frames available... |

Hi Dean Archangel007 (Tricky) builds frames, he's in QLD or I think Harley is still making them as well,he's in vic Both these guys are on here And both frames are engineered Hope that helps Cheers Hallsey |
