its fairly common to upgrade the gearbox & diff in highly modified 4x4 Mazda's & tx3's to gt4 items - the gt4 diff is a bigger & heavier duty version of the rav4 unit I'm going to use. below pic is mazda rear subframe with gt4 diff mounted
