Hey guys, I'm seriously considering a D16 VTEC conversion using a prefab chassis in my Mini K and was wondering if anyone knows of any workshops in Australia that would take it on? Cheers Simon |

You might be able to twist the arm of a hot rod shop or mini specialist but that would cost just as much as the finished car would sell for - that's why pretty much every conversion car is built by the owners. There are other alternatives to the honda engine - there's a guy up in QLD that used to do drive in / drive out swift GTI conversions - don't know if he still operates though. What state are you in? |

ACT but anywhere in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne would be okay. |

For anyone who's interested, AM Auto in Noosa have done a few conversions but they are very busy so expect a wait if you want to get one done. They do sterling work though |

Didn't he just use a minitec kit from the states for the last B16 mini he did? |
