Ummmmm...do they have trailers and tow balls in Tassie??

I'd be looking into paying for fuel etc for someone to tow it back. Maybe you could hire a trailer?? Car clubs have trailers that can be borrowed sometimes...

Otherwise, get onto a Tassie freight company and ask a bout backloading...

Ring all the transport companies that use the boat and you may find someone that is coming back empty or that they can do it for a lot less than a courier. (couriers are very very dear)

I sometimes see a Tasmanian furnature removalist truck on the Hume hwy. and have thought that it may be a cheap way to get bits to tassie.

If you were to call a courier/transport company (Toll, Ipec, TNT, etc) they would charge and arm and a leg, but if you can find someone that is bringing a truck back empty....

Black, it cost me $350 to freight my halfcut from Brisbane to Canberra. But as you so close I would take Mick's advice and drive over with a trailer. If I was that physically close to Brisbane I would have.
