Yep , mine arrived safely in Fridays mail and very well packed .

Nick , how big is your moneybox as I think the two moneyboxes I have look smaller , wonder if there's two sizes ?

The moneyboxes I have are around 115mm long , 110mm wide and 65mm high .

Must just be the angle of the camera playing tricks on you. That is about how big my big one is.

Yeah mine were well packaged in bubble wrap and everything in a padded bag and somehow it still got damaged  I'd hate to think how much you'd have to pack it in order for it to not get damaged!

Looks like I'm just unlucky.

No I didn't know there are fridge magnets of them! Looks like that's something else that I will have to add to the list of things to get, just like those money boxes up in caloundra next time I'm up there.

It doesn't stop.........

Glad most arrived undamaged. Picked up another red one for 1018cc today and will stick in a box this time. Now I will have to look out for the red money box and fridge magnets. Still about 3 red and 4 green little ones left at the cake shop. They have never sold so many cake decorations! I like the ceramic one on the link Wombat put up too but reckon that would get smashed for sure in the post.

Keep an eye out at Big W , Target , Kmart , supermarkets etc wherever matchbox cars are sold as there is an Austin mini van in the new range . They've taken a while to get around but I managed to get a couple in the local big W today , bargain at $1.97 each and surprisingly good detail so long as you don't mind big wheels .

Thread Reanimation .....

In Port Macquarie recently I stumbled across these bookends that look to have been made from the same mould as the moneyboxes , they are heavy (2 1/2kg for the pair) and the shop said they were the only ones they had and couldn't find anymore so no idea on finding any others . Also got the metal mini in a gift shop in Coffs today , somewhere around 1:14 scale and slightly smaller than the others I've seen around . They had another one there (and it comes in a sturdy box suitable to post) if anyone wants one and can't find it locally .
