Have you sent him an email re postage? I regularly have stuff sent over from the US and its never more then $7 for about 6 or 7 matchbox cars.

37-60 Hot Wheels will be shipped Priority Mail International Large Flat Rate Box for $55.00

I'd ask for a quote or wait until that model comes out here, if it does
