These were produced in the early 1990's and were availible as windup and also plain friction (push forward quickly a few times and the geared flywheel inside keeps it rolling at a medium speed) , the three friction versions are on the lower shelf in this photo , red , blue and yellow . I never got around to getting the windup versions :cry:

Flute has a yellow one as well that he used to have for his avatar , they aren't all that common but also aren't the really rare tinplate mini's . No idea on the value of them , when new the friction powered ones were $5 each .

There's a weekend market in hobart near the harbour where I saw a stall that had a heap of these kind of toys.
