I started looking to pick up a couple of minis for my boys car collection, as he is just insanely enthusiastic about anything mini related (he's 2). Mind you, to be fair, he thinks any old car is a mini.....

Anyway, I was trolling through auction listings and also a couple of posts on ausmini and see that by far the majority of hotwheels, matchbox etc are still in the blister pack.

Am I the only potential buyer out there who is after these as a toy??!! Bummer if I am...cause people seem to be asking 'collectable' prices, for what (for me) is a toy car....

The first ones I ever get end up as toys haha

If they are rare, meaning I bought them off eBay or from a swapmeet or something, I try to hide them, but Thomas knows that they are dads special Mini's.

You need to buy him two. One to play with now and one to give him when he is 20 so he has his old toys back in mint condition and in original packaging.

I buy three one for me and two one each for the boys (they can have mine in 40 years)

Minis are awesome on hot wheel tracks.
