I pick this up at a recent swap meet and have repaired it and my 12 yo and I got out the scalectrix track to try it out. However seems to not grip and slip off the track easy even with 3 steel nuts in the back seat. Is it meant to have a lead weight? Could it just need new slicks? Cheers |

New tyres. The old ones get a hard crust that promotes massive oversteer! I have been known to retread them with silastic. |

Thanks. Got it at Goulburn swap meet actually. Is there meant to be a weight though. There's an empty space above the motor and below the drivers |

I have never seen a weight on them. I did try weights on them years ago, I used brass plate under the motor and rear axle held with blu tac. |
