hi all,

Looking at purchasing a radio control mini cooper old or new shape and want feedback on which one to buy. I have seen a few on fleebay and even like one in tricky dickys smiths but dont want to invest even though only cheap i want some that is fast enough not just a walking speed unit. budget up to $300 .I do have one that almost walk faster.

Any ideas ??

you could buy a ready to run M03

Tamiya M-03 XB -Pro Mini Cooper (57773)

Image

Factory assembled Mini M-03 chassis
Tamiya wheel type radio included
Tamiya TEU-101BK electronic speed controller
Tamiya 540J motor
Requires 7.2v battery , charger & 8 x AA batteries
Price Reduction !

$ 199.00

that is from http://www.metrohobby.com.au/products.php

i bought a kit but it was missing some electrics so i ordered them and they were the wrong ones so i would recommend buying a ready to run car like the above.

there is a new mini cooper out at the moment by Thunder Tiger. Not as pretty as the tamiya but it looks like a really robust, its the same basic platform as there monster and stadium trucks, so should take a lot of abuse

from what i understand they come ready to run and have a brushless motor set up from factory
