no, didn't effect the paint at all, and I put a LOT on - Tamiya PS paint

Anyone got a spare "new" RTR body to suit an M05 ?

I don't have any painting skills so normally pick up an RTR body.

doubt it... even the clear shells are just about all gone

painting a shell is the easiest thing ever, you just sound lazy :P :wink:

Have you ever given it a go? It's not as hard as it looks. Just mask and spray.

correction here - I just put a big glob in the centre of the roof of my car and it has softened the paint. I marked it with my fingernail. The glue itself actually smells similar to the polycarbonate paint out of the can, so probably uses the same sort of thinners.

It's curing pretty quickly and looks like the paint will go back to normal, but if you put some on then tried to move it around it would make a big mess. When I used it I'd put some material where it was cracked then put glue all over it and pushed it through, but left it alone once it was there, so it didn't make a mess.


Last weekend one of the guys had a new shell on his m06 that he'd had painted by someone (cost him $50 he said) and ALL of the paint flaked off. He wasn't sure what paint it was, but clearly wasn't compatible with flexy polycarbonate shells

Has anybody ever compared a tamiya sports tuned motor and the kit esc with the hobbywing 13T 35A combo?

the fast guy in my club has one - his chassis is a shiny silver one and the motor is black with S Spec on it

there's nothing between it and mine on the straight, but he kills me in the corners by being able to drive properly

Hey I've just downloaded vrc pro and ordered the usb stick for it, a lot of guys reckon it helps improve your driving is anyone here using it?

The 13T combo will be as good/better as the BEST sports tuned. There was a huge difference in performance between the good and bad black cans.

I bought the USB but can't use it because I only have a Mac. I even tried using my it on a virtual windows machine, but it was too slow.

I've given VRC a go. Never got used to it. Haven't tried my race transmitter with receiver since the USB arrived, but have fiddled with a cheap transmitter I have here (flysky GT2) and a USB that connects it to a PC as a joystick.

What do you take to the track with you? Tools, spares, Chargers batteries, other cars?

I have a large toolbox which hold all my tools, oils, spare wheels and M05 spares etc. the bottom section of the box holds my mini and radio. I normally take 4 batteries to use between my two cars. I also carry a large green bag that hold all the spares for my touring car, my setup station, charger and extension lead. I also take paper towel and baby wipes. However I then have to carry my touring car.

I need a better system but I'm not sure what will work for me.
