I'm not the greatest driver and I crash a fair bit (think cartwheels into metal fences), but I have the feeling it was more of a fatigue thing as the crack opened up after a race where I didnt have any big hits. Fingers crossed the parts arrive from Hong Kong today or I wont be racing it this weekend. Ryan |

I'm really torn between finding another m05 or getting one of those hobbyking m-rage 4wd cars..... |

I bought one of the M-rage's - no idea if it's any good though - it's still sitting in the box! I couldn't say no for the price! |

it's a rebrand of Nanda NRX-12, which according to this is pretty decent... http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-ro ... -12-a.html hurry up and build it so you can tell me what motor etc. to use with it |

I've owned a few different 4wd's over the years - but never really put much time into them! The VMII was pretty impressive. The Active 210 was a bit 'soft' and broke easily. And the Xpress was awesome at killing diffs even with low power. The HW system in the 4wd's is PLENTY of power - they are seriously off-tap with that much power! But still fun! |

from what I was reading, the HW system might be a bit much for it - a standard m05 type motor and ESC in it might be smarter? this is a good thread for them, post #77 lists some maybe essential bits http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showth ... ?p=2262710 |

I'd probably stick a 21.5 brushless motor in it. |

As for the 4WD Mini class, I guess you would have to run the HW combo, but otherwise it would be legal. Ryan |

Did the whole shaft pull through the plastic? I've never seen that part break. Good job. I don't think I'd bother with the alloy. I'd reckon someone at your club would have a spare plastic one lying around. |

How'd you go with repairing this simon? Still racing? Our club hasn't raced for 2 months due to weather. Hopefully we can get on the track this weekend. |

oh yeah, bought another plate... not an issue, raced a couple of weeks ago, I'm not getting any better at it but Hobbyking had the m.rage on special on the weekend, so I'm putting that together now |

simon k wrote: but Hobbyking had the m.rage on special on the weekend, so I'm putting that together now it's a bit bloody fast... standard tyres that come with it aren't quite up to the job. I just transferred all of the electronics from my m05 to it |
