Evening all,

As the title suggests I'm looking for some decent side and rear elevations for the van and ute.

Got a couple of Tamiya kits looking to be chopped up and transformed into their commercial variants.

Nearly got my 61 finished to represent my 1:1, so I thought I'd give myself a challenge.

Ian

That's pretty cool!

And just the sort of side profile I was after.

Strange that it cost you that much, here, they have had them in stock for years. Always keep checking but I haven't bought one yet. http://rchobbies.com.au/store/product_i ... s_id=79810

place an order and see what happens... they list them as in stock, but I guarantee you they don't have any, can't get any and probably never had any

I'm tempted to ring them, but I sent them an email... looking at their list of ABC hobby shells, there is no-way they have all of them in stock. I guess they plan to order from their distributor when they get an order from their customer. Doesn't help when they have no idea whether or not the item is available from their distributor. Googling also comes up with various people complaining that they list things as in stock but don't have any

Similarly, "hobbies australia" who are the wholesale arm of Frontline hobbies in Newcastle list the HPI mini shell as in stock. I got on to my local distributor and he's ordered one from them, and he said it's on back-order. I know they're no longer in production, so the back-order will never be fulfilled

Simon,

Both are current items, however supplier is not open until the 5th to check availability.

Anything else please let us know.

Regards,

Tim

Right after all, you'd be surprised though. My main hobby shop has in excess of about 200 different bodies, and sometimes in the double digits of some bodies too. They're a very tiny privately owned store, but I haven't found anywhere better. An upside is, because I know them and they know me, I can get deals on items. Not something you can do online...
