Budget usually do a few of the special type cars. Look up Car Hire in the Yellow Pages...

logon to www.mini2.com and post in the Australian forum. Plenty of locals there who might have an answer. Just don't show your ignorance by refering to the MINI as a Bini, after all MINI owners don't refer to the Mini as a Lini (Leyland) a Rini (Rover) an Aini (Austin) or a Bini (BMWRover) or a CLini(Clubman).

bugger.....

I looked into hiring a supercharged BINI not long ago..... I cant remember WHO had it, but I think I was looking at over a grand for 4 days hire.

Usually cars are hired thru the airport....

but try here ---> http://www.touristaustralia.com.au/infodir/sportscars/sportscarrental_sydney.htm

Yeah supercharged 850 thats where we ended up hireing the car from. we had od for 2 days and drove 900 Km in it. It was great fun, watever people say about the new mini, take a drive of the cooper s. It a different sort of fun to the classic's but still a hell of alot of fun. especially once she gets above the 3500rpm mark the supercharger really kicks in. And yes it wasnt cheap $195 a day for 100km only so it was an extra $25 for unlimited km

ill try a post some pics later on today.

suggestion: next time you want to rent a MINI phone up your friendly local dealer and ask to take one for a test drive. tell them you have a challenging driveway, and you want to make sure it will get into the garage without scraping. they will usually sign it out for the day, and if you ask really nicely they might let you have it for the weekend (like they did for us) :lol:

if you really want to rent one Ascot car rental in launceston have them. make a weekend out of it!!!

Weve probably been to the BMW dealership about 5 times taking them out for a test drive.
Where's Launceston?
