I have that cable as a back up. I mainly use my Denison Ice Link plus

That way I can control the Ipod from my steering wheel. and it charges the IPOD

I would like to have that sometime in the future Brett, but I don't have the multi function steering wheel.

Hey Chris, What do you do about charging your ipod while driving?....soon as I plug mine in the stereo drops it and reverts back to cd or radio.

Opps, had the same issue - something to do with different floating earths. There was a modification to the cable to include little isolation transformers.

Cheers
Chris

Is that what I've been reading about on mini2? A Ground Loop Isolator?....I asked about it at Dick Smith...they didn't have a clue....only place I can find it is at radioshack in the states. :(

Hope it lasts to Bairnsdale and back on the weekend

Any ideas where I could find instructions on how to incorporate these "transformers" into my exsisting cable?

No probs. Hey if you are ever looking to go for a spin with other new MINIs, the clubMINI guys have a monthly drive (apologies if you already are aware of clubMINI).
