I used to like the New Mini. I though BMW had done an alright job. (hands shaking with anger) but they have gone to FAR!!!!' IT'S GOT A ROUND NOSE!!!!!!!! Its like if I owned a genuine cooper S and went up to someone from this site and said 'Yeah it's a good clubbie' im sure they would knock me down and get their friends to jump on me. It's just not right! And talk about stealing Mazda's ideas with the doors. Sir Alec Issigonis would be turning, spewing and screaming for vengence in his grave. God bless that man.

Ermm..Suicide doors are nothing new...See this 1936 Ford Sedan...

Sure the name sucks, it ain't no clubman, but we don't know what they are going to call it for sure yet. Just wait and see..I can't see BMW making the mistake of not calling it a coutryman or traveller...

im really happy this is finally happening. it was always going to, so long as sales were ok fo the MINI. sure, the name is a bit funny, but im just happy that the Clubman name is still lingering. and i think they'll do a tops job of it. if it stops people driving SUVs around, that can only be better for us other drivers, and the environment.

now we await the MOKE!

Got the the August edition of Wheels magazine yesterday. On page 22 they've got a short piece on the Mini "Estate", along with an artist's impression that looks more conservative (2 doors, no suicide jobbies).

From the angle they've shown it, it looks like a modern day panelvan.
