I think they are. I paid my membership to them only 3 or 4 weeks ago but have since sold my bini, so I'll turn up in the classic next time and see what happens.

No, I have taken my classics on runs a few times. clubMINI is all about the love of minis new and old. It was only formed (I was WA founding president and involved in the set up of clubMINI) because MINI's were made so unwelcome at mini events in the early days (and even still now by some clubs unfortunately).

We wont re hash all the nonsense, people are all entitled to their own opinions. You don't even have to own a mini of any description to join clubMINI.

So to answer the question NO it is not BMW MINI only. If anyone in the club tells you otherwise tell them to read their club constitution.

Anyone and everyone is welcome at clubMINI events. If the chapters in other states are not the same they should be ashamed of themselves and are no better than the haters that caused the formation of the club to start with.

I still don't like the term Bini, never will but I gave up biting over it many years ago.

Hi All,

I was the president at clubMINI in Vic until August, but still run the events.

clubMINI is a primarily aimed at the BMW MINI as we are supported by MINI Aus, however as mentioned above we really don't care what MINI you own and we have a few members with both New and Classic. We really don't care what car you have, as we have had anything from BMWs, Mercs, Scoobies and Civics on our runs.

However ASFAIK you must own a MINI to have full rights in the club in VIC. I.e. voting rights. Whether this applies to Mini's I have no idea and is something I will have to ask. As the constituion states MINI specifically.

But as I said, we love MINI and Mini and well just having fun really so anyone is welcome at our events!

Will report back. If you wish to know anything else please just ask. :)

P.s the only difference between a full member and associate member is being able to vote at the AGM.

p.p.s Harley, looking forward to seeing you on the next run! You will be more than welcome! :D

p.p.p.s Frednutz&co, can I ask where you heard that?
