BMW guy was on the Dakar program yesterday saying that the shared components between the Dakar Countryman and the standard one were:

Headlights
Front Windscreen
Door Handles
A few interior parts

OK, so they have about as much in common with the road car as that Bathurst-winning "Commodore". Or maybe even a bit more.
