G'day guys,
I just wondered if the K's on a Cooper S are stored on the Speedo head behind the steering wheel or on the Computer?
If on the computer, which one? the engine one etc?
Thanks

Only way to make sure is to ring a automotive gauge repairer, they should know.

Its gauge and engine ecu together I think, you get errors by changing one because the car knows somethings changed.

Yes your correct, I remember its stored in many locations to stop tampering , inc the KEYs... if either is out. It will freak out.\

Hope this help. If the guage is faulty, you have to take it to BMW to get it coded
