I’m currently rebuilding 998. I have a 12g295 head with oversize valves and Block will be bored out 100thou. Twin 1 1/4 Su’s. 1.3 roller rockers, lightened flywheel. Will have a suitable exhaust.

Question is will the Kent 276 be too big for a fast road car? That will mainly be driven on weekends and in light traffic? Or am I better off getting something a bit smaller? Also what needles are people running on their similiar setups?

Talk to Graham Russell about his 266re camshaft, I think you’ll find what you’re looking for.
Bloody nice guy to deal with.

Ran a 276 in a 40thou over 998 with 1"3/4 su .. head was ported with 1100s inlets .. driveability was fine in traffic. These cams are pretty old now, talk to Graham.
