Are the exhaust ports and manifold attachment points universal across the a-series range of engines?

I have my eye on getting a Maniflow LCB for the recon 1275 [still yet to be obtained], but the existing 1098 exhaust is rappidly reaching it's used by date. I need to do something about it or stop driving the van for a while

Please tell me they fit all engine sizes so I can pick one up at Minishow04

whilst I'm not an expert, from the literature I've seen the answer to your question is yes.

All the mini heads are the same in this respect. Can't speak for sprites and other possible engine combos. The 1275 is slightly taller than the smaller capacity units as I understand, but that shouldn't stop a set of extractors from being swapped from an 1100 to a 1275 or vice versa for example.

Certainly some of the spares catalogues I have list the one set suiting many engine capacities.

All A series heads, from the humble 803cc Minor & A30, to the mighty 1275 Cooper S have the same manifold stud spacing.

A Maniflow medium bore LCB will be fine on your 1098. be aware they hang pretty low though- more than most do. Watch out for speed humps in shopping centres...
I replaced the main pipe exhaust clamp with a strap type one I made, similar to the 2 smaller ones on the branch pipes.

Toyota Surf 4x4 at the moment. I'm in the process of getting an import Rover Mini though.

Shame I'm in Adelaide or I'd be heading to the show
