Anonymous moderation means the agro that is built up towards the mods isn't aimed at an individual (fewer "Makk" attacks). Less stress for mods means less moderator "retirements".

i think we should put together a list like this for minis. add the pulsar distributor and dizzy and also the honda brakes.

How about using the heater cable as a throttle cable in an emergency? I've seen that done, and you get cruise control as well! I've tried using the choke cable as a throttle cable once but it is a little hard to drive

Gemini starter motor is another interchangable mod.

Won't fit in though, if you got an S oil cooler in the usual place in a roundnose..

They are a pre-engaged starter- the integral solenoid sticks forward a bit.

I never liked the idea of criuse control....

When the c/c is ON, where do your feet go?? On the floor away from the brake pedal?? Wouldnt that drastically reduce your braking reaction time in an emergency??? I mean, you gotta lift your foot back over the pedal first...... and in the confusion - is that the accelerator???? UH OH!!!

Does the oil cooler bolt onto the chassis or the block? I wonder if you could mount it further across? I spose the alternator is going to be in the way.

It's a pretty simple decision in the end. If you're on the track you only need to start the car once but you want the oil at a reasonable temp. For a road car you want reliable starting but oil temp is not such an issue

mount the cooler on the chassis... less movement and vibration
embarressing when the cooler breaks off and leaks everywhere

I've tuned a few race motors with these starters- I don't think their torque is much better than a good Lucas one. Starter body hardly any bigger than Lucas...

I kept the S cooler, bought a UK reco'd Lucas starter, and put a Landcruiser battery (550CCA) in..
