Here's a few pics of an MR2 blower on a 1310.

He says it gave 130 HP. :P

The 4 pics are .bmp, take a while to load. I'd have converted 'em to .jpg if I could... :?

Interesting inlet manifold looks like he made his own.
Do you think inlet port 3 would get hot with the corner it has to go around or would 1 & 2 get the majority of the fuel.
Looks like in pic four it not in the car yet

Thats a serious conversion.... although i think i have a few problems with it

That inlet manifold looks somewhat restrictive, specially with those square ports and 90 degree corners! Although i suppose it might have been the most feasable way to get the car running

Must have hacked into the bulkhead to fit it?.... looks like a bulky supercharger, i spose most blown mini's i have seen have used some bulky blowers, if I had a go at any kind of forced induction one of my primary aims would be to keep the body stock...

I notice he has left the sidewalls of the engine bay in place instead of fitting bars and there appears to be minimal additional strengthening... is this strong enough? Dr? any thoughts? From where im sitting it looks like he has chopped a good amount of strength out of the car by removing all the front panels....

Not to hack on Dodge, damn thing is probly a rocketship, and i dont know what strengthening has been done to cope for body chopping and extra power, just a few observations ;-)... Hey if it makes 130hp who's complaining muuhaahaa but on the other hand once can almost get that reliably from a carby fed A series

might have to keep my eye out for a supercharger or twin turbo setup that might be able to be shoehorned into a mini with no need to chop anything.....

As manifold is under pressure, it probably wouldn't matter. It did give 130HP... 8)

*nods* fair enough, but with a better manifold and less boost one could make the same hp with less stress on the engine? or does the fact its under pressure make the efficiency of the manifold less important?

If you think this is restrictive, you should see the Opcon Autorotor one...

Problemi is- space back there is at a premium. I think I'd get a Clubbie and mount the huffer at the front...

It would be to easy to do it in a clubby sporting an 8 port head or something simular, even a round nose, if you had the inlet ports at the front of the block youd save a lot of piping... hmmm... if one got a mini head, bored the sparkplug hole to be inlet ports, closed the two mini inlet ports, reshaped the combustion chamber and relocated the spark plugs... to where i have no idea (perhaps 2 and 3 plugs could be put in the old inlet ports??)... youd have a 7 port head right? ready to take the blower of your choice and some custom piping

I'm looking at modding a 5 port to 7 but really don't think so. Plugs are in the way.
