Here's a few pics of Ford Fiesta calipers adapted to Mini swivel hubs overseas. Will fit 10" wheels.

Very pretty- but 3 probs with this in Oz-

1. No Fiestas sold here (except the new one)
2. Needs a set of 8.4" Mini or Metro discs and hubs to start with.
3. Caliper repair kits would be as rare as rocking horse manure..

There's a thread running on MM/MS board, I just hosted his pics.

Enjoy! 8)

Sorry the pics WERE a bit big....effin' huge- so I've now shrunk em somewhat.

Shame we dont have them here as we could just jack one up and ripe out the brakes and leave the wheels leaning agian the doors. That would be interesting to see thier faces on return.

Whats this other site you keep talking about.
I frequesnt Miniinfinity Uk based

Anything with a tiny caliper will work. maybe the old suzuki altos or mighty boys?? they had 12inch wheels standard.

I reckon the baby Subaru (Fiori? looks like a Handivan) ones could be made to fit, but pads are like postage stamps..

The hondas sound like the they are the ones to go for, spares and stuff must be parts are easy to find as well some way down the track later on?

I can then put a big rice VTEC on the back window!

well, the callipers AND discs on my mazda are no bigger than the 8.4's on the sc850...

Are customised brakes REALLY worth all the trouble?????

Not, if you've already got a set of S or 8.4" swivel hubs and brakes. 8)

But if you don't, yeah there's lots of crisp A$$$ to be saved, particularly if fitting Hondas.

For 10" wheels, by the time you buy S brakes and do them up, you are looking at around $1,500 probably.

My road car already has S brakes, my son's Clubbie has Hondas, the wife's `850' will get a set of Hondas too, probably. All are on 10" wheels.

The Fiesta conversion at least saves people overseas having to pay inflated prices for S calipers. :D
