some one offered to sell me theirs off their old race car and i was wondering what they are worth. are 45's worth more than 40's. does it give me any more driveable power for street use. i don't want them if they only give me power in the high end of the rpm scale. can any one tell me about them.

If they are the same price as a standard 45dcoe setup, grab them! They won't supply any more fuel, but will get the fuel into the head more directly. They are generally quite a bit more expensive than a normal single weber.

I recently (in the last month) saw a set of split webers and manifold on Ebay here, going for about 900 bucks. but they were for a full blown race engine

If I could find one in good nick I would LOVE a 40 Delorto. But I'm happy with what I have.

Hmmm, I just happen to have a Dellorto 40DHLA spare. Carb is off an Alfa 2L- has 33mm chokes. Email me if interested.

Sorry but I don't have a spare manifold....

Thanks for the offer Dr. Mini. But as I said, I'm happy with what I have. I'm still trying to get my head around simple jobs on the car, before I go messing with performance stuff :-)
