Greeting people's
and for those with a Electrical idea. 3 questions

I have a new Multimeter that does everthing even does Rev's.But how do i

1 Check for a short in a Negative Earth Mini.

2 Check the alternator is working corectly ( I have a new ac17 -3 months ((55amp) alternator so it should be fine) but the battery was recharged a number time from almost flat, which I know is not go for the battery so I'm expecting it dead.

3 I believe when you place a stereo into its cradle you should not a spark I think this is linked to number 1 Question

Cheers

This sounds far fetched but it works and I support it from personal experience.

To find a short circuit: turn the ignition on, turn on a radio - either the car radio or a small portable and turn it off the station so white noise is heard - volumn down but still audible.

Wriggle the wires near connections and along the straights and when you disturb the loose/broken connection the radio will crackle. The rest is up to you
