hey guys i have a problem, the dellorto manifold has no provision for dizzy vaccum and i have a vaccum dizzy :? so what can i do ? i cant see a vaccum outlet on the dellorto either :(

Err i think you can just discconnect the vacuum from the dizzy end and leave it. It does jack all if you don't have a SU I think...

Doc's car just has the vacuum disconnected too. I am assuming this is what I will do when I connect the dellorto

Just leave it off. You will have WAY too much advance if you hook to the manifold. :twisted:

Yeah most vacuum advance comes from the carb side of the butterfly, not the manifold side (although I think some pommy ones did for some peculiar reason that I can't remember). You're better off leaving it disconnected. Remember, it is an economy device. A dell'orto, on the other hand, is not :lol: (says he who ran out of petrol twice in two weeks and now carries 5L spare!)

My vac diaphragm was broken for years and I never noticed - I put a new one on and I don't think it did much!

Christoph's Weber has had a vac advance tapped into the carb body and it does sweet FA.
