Heh it's a `60s thing.
Dodge Phoenix 2 door pillarless coupe with 383 or 440 cubic inch `big block' V8, and a supercharger off a GM Detroit Diesel 6/71 or whatever.

Cops in NSW once had Phoenixes- I outdragged one with my 1220 Mini back in `68. He was `not happy jan..'

g'day tim....

there are plenty (relatively) of supercharged minis going around. there have been a few threads about it on here i tihnk and get in touch with SC850, he's pretty tuned in on the subject. Otherwise have a chat with steve from bickworx...i've seen a couple of blown minis down there (i tihnk they were his work)

good luck

Can someone ID this blower spotted at Minishow last weekend?
Image
What is it? Who Makes it [and more importantly - Where can we get one?]

No probs, WhoDat...

You are looking at a Swedish "Opcon Autorotor" Supercharger.

Its sold as a tailored kit, with every nut and bolt required. Includes new HIF SU carby, all new pulleys, belt, aluminium alloy inlet manifold and brackets.

Its sold thru Hi Performance Products (aka Link Automotive) in Mitcham, Victoria. Expect to pay over $5,000 for the setup, plus more for the relevant engine mods.

email : link@foxall.com.au , phone (03) 9873 3874

Their demo car was featured in Mini Magic No.2, page 30 - a bronze Leyland 1275LS

All depends on what body you plan on using....round or square front.

Generally speaking, the Toyota 4ag-ze blower is a little too big for an a-series motor. It is better suited to a 1600cc motor.

A subaru blower is better suited, but much custom work will be required (believe me  ). And theyre second hand.

The kit in my previous post is a really good option. It comes with everything you need (apparrently) and is brand new.
