Yeah! it's killing me. It took a month just to get the OK to bring it into the Dyno workshop. It stayed on the trailer for a week. Now it's had a parking spot on the workshop floor for a week. But, I've been promised it will be ready for the All British Day at Parramatta on the 24 August.

Well!!! It's still not going I'm going to stick this short video up for those I have spoken to, and those that may be able to assist. Double click the pic it should go to photo bucket.

Briefly, it's running a "Microtech" ecu, original BMW throttle bodies, injectors and fuel regulator. MED crank pulley with non-adjustable pick up. Tried cam overlap from 1mm to 2.5mm lift. On advice I still have to go back and check fuel pressure at the rail and the function of the injectors.

But, it sounds like timing. The information from Microtech was to take the tooth out (36 tooth wheel) at 60 degrees before TDC, which was done by setting up a degree wheel on the crank, zeroéd it at TDC, turn the crank back (anti-clockwise) 60 degrees and the tooth under the pick up removed. Whilst trying to get this thing started information has come to hand suggesting the window on the 36 tooth wheel should be at the pick up at 90 degrees on a 4 cyclinder.

Anyhow have a listen, I'm about to throw it in a barn for someone to find in 20 years.

No sound here for some reason, but I see a backfire in 4 than 1, but you probably already know that.

i know this may sound silly Steve,,,
but you did swap the leads over for the new firing order yeah?
& those compression figures you have are just wrong ,,, you should have about 180psi in each hole mate,,, not 100
but still should run even if it really is 100
i`m suss on your tuner fella really,,, if he can`t get an engine running then he`s not the person you want tuning it
