Had the kit for a while and have now started the tear down.
Hopefully there are some pics here.
Now trying to find out if there is an alternator that I can get to fit in there !
Haven't given up yet, but may have to move the rad.
Whole engine bay needs a damn good clean, very dusty

Only big images would do that head justice!

Good stuff Bob. 8)

I'm with you Mick. Let's click the thumb for a bigger pic - Oh it is the pic - damn!!

It's a good thing that new head's alloy. All the drool I dropped on it when I checked it out a few (?) years ago would've destroyed it by now...

They should upload into a default size.

If I cut and paste your link from the post into the browser directly, I get the full sized images.

I am guessing you need to select the links from the right of the picture in photo bucket directly, as the link I paste doesn't look normal to the ones direct from PB, and is somehow interfering with the size you want.
This is your link: http://rs1291.pbsrc.com/albums/b549/Min ... 922cbb.jpg
If I use the link I get redirected to this Photobucket link: http://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b54 ... 922cbb.jpg

This is how you want to see it below, so copy an IMG link from the page the other link opens up.

Edit: Make them look like this one Bob! (only one IMG around the outside of each link):

And you will get this:

Thanks gents, I'll get it right next time.
That last photo above shows how little room there is between block and rad :(
Going to make a tim drum and take it back to Ashdown and Ingram to see if there is anything small enough that puts 70 amps out.
Thanks to Rodney, Quickie and Jase for a good chin wag about it last Sunday.
Have also e-mailed SC ref vacuum point and fuel gas canister stuff

I'd get the head on the engine before you try and solve the alternator problem.
I'm not sure if you're running carbies or injection but that hose to radiator may have to go too.

Will this setup involve needing a new 'bulged' bonnet?

It might get to the point where relocating your radiator to the side might be the best option afterall.

Yes I will locate the head, together with throttle bodies, fuel rail etc, but only resting on the block. The top hose is definitely redundant but hoses are fairly easy to route.
According to SC (and there is another build on here, but not MPi) all fits under ok without bonnet mods.
The side rad grill panel is sold separately and the shroud too, so leaning toward that option.
