Have another look at my dyno results
With the standard rockers, i limit to 7000 because power peaks at 6500, meaning ideal gearchange is just a little higher. The torque is flat and huge over a wide band.
Both Kev's and mine are larger than standard capacity and near 11:1, modified heads, but different chambers and both work very well. Mine has 45DCOE weber and is tuned to this motor. With the 1.5:1 rockers the limit will move up to 7500, because i expect the power to move up the band a bit.
My brief to Graham was for a strong and reliable motor for sprints, track days and the like. Kev obviously uses his on the road. I don't have to rebuild it every year and i am very happy with the way it performs.
So yes i would say that cam will work well with what you are contemplating, up to 7000rpm, but you will just have to suck it and see.
cheers
michael
