I have a Hitachi s114-202 starter (Gemini type) with 9 teeth on my mini that i am restoring. The 107 tooth flywheel is damaged and replacing it with a 129 tooth flywheel. I think it requires an 11 tooth pinion drive for correct meshing? Is this correct ? If not can anyone tell me what I require to do to suit it. Thanks you for your help.

If you use the later 129 tooth ring gear the Hitachi won't work. You will need a Rover pre-engaged starter.
Why not fit a new 107T one and keep the Hitachi starter you have?
