I usually get in the low 90's with my temp gun at idle. I check the temps on the radiator top tank, thermostat housing and heater outlet. The spots you pointed at will be warmer than the coolant temp because the heat source is just below the spark plugs.

The best time to check the temp would be during or just after a drive after the thermostat has fully opened. A mini at idle can get hotter because the lack of air flow through the radiator.
