yes will be fine,,, however,,, you will need to pay attention to the cyl head fittment
if you shuffle the cyl head over to the dist/alt side of the block a few mm, then you will have less drama with the new head stud holes interfering with the side plate area & water jacket joining,
(it`s a bit hard to explain typing it really)
if you imagine fitting the cyl head in the spot that the "usual" 3 front head stud holes line up to,,, then when drilling the rear (exh side) stud holes you will most certainly break into """Both""" the side plate area """&""" the water jacket
it`s not a pretty thing really
yes, we`ve done it
so we have shuffled the head across a few mm toward the alternator/distributor side & off-set the bore (& oversized) to align with the cyl head chambers,,, & off course you`ll need to bung up """all""" the head stud holes & re-drill them """all""" to cater for the new position
i can show you way more easier than describing it tho
but yes once that lot is sorted then fly-cut pistons, sort your compression ratio etc & away you go
