After advise on A+ 1275 into a '61 850.
I'm running twin SU carbies.
Should I use the A+ rocker cover with breather in oil cap or 850 cover with pipe?
What to do with breather that bolts onto gearbox clutch housing?
Should I run the 850 timing case without breather???
Also I have original cooper s twin SU air filter that has a pipe that looks like it connects to 850 rocker cover pipe???
Thanks

other than screwing with a '61 850 that I don't like the sound of...

You should probably install a PCV and let the engine breathe into the manifold, otherwise the below applies to the breather tube in the air cleaner

1/ use the A+ rocker cover
2/ run it to a T piece with the breather on the A+ timing case and into the air cleaner or PCV
3/ definitely not... the A+ engine has a tensioner under there (I think), and the 850 cover won't have enough clearance for the double row timing chain

Thanks, for your answers.... I thought about keeping the '61 850 standard, but that would be a waste of a good fun car.

You will need to flatten the A+ timing cover breather to clear the fan, in a roundy body.
