I run a comp diff pin with the original Mk2S side gears and their bronze washers, not fibre. It's a road car but has seen a few track days. Ain't broke yet.

Quaife ATB. I love it, but I am still getting used to it at full power. It feels just like an open diff most of the time, but at full power you can feel it tighten up and you need to be more assertive in where you steer. The lightness of the steering reduces, so where I might be cornering a one handed while I change gears and enter a corner, if I put the foot down coming out of the corner I tend to want to make sure I have both hands on the wheel. I've only driven about 250 kays with it in, so a lot of this is probably just getting used to knowing how it wants to behave and having it be more second nature. Part of my reason for choosing it was I was choosing bullet proof components where possible to increase reliability. I'll use a cross-pin in the next one just because it will be putting out a lot less power (and is a low cost build). Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

So I have settled on a x-pin from Guessworks ...$308 delivered just have to stare at my postie for 2 weeks and ask him " do you have my box today ?" Luckily he is also a car nutter and gets harassed my me on a regular basis. + I received my gearbox and all associated alloy bits back from the Hydroblasters tonight, so shiny that I don't really want to put it back together and risk it getting dirty. |

The x-pin diff arrived tonight .... it's also shinny and again I don't want to get it dirty inside the gearbox .....first world problems |

Don't put oil in the gearbox and it will stay shiny
